Ms Richards is a born & raised Baltimorean from the Park Heights area in Northwest Baltimore. She attended Northwestern High School and identifies as a true WILDCAT! In 2016 Ms Richards became a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Criminology/Criminal Justice... Go Terps!!

During her time at UMD, Ms Richards became a dedicated member of the Maryland Gospel Choir and Community Roots (community activism group). Post undergraduate, she joined Teach for America and spent Summer 2016 teaching rising 1st graders at Katz-Dalsey Academy in Camden, NJ. She was welcomed at Woodhome Elementary/Middle school as a 2nd grade teacher in August 2016, while attending Johns Hopkins University, where she received her teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education.

Her time at WEMS has been nothing short of amazing as she services our young people as a teacher going into her 5th year. Ms Richards currently serves as Woodhome's 3rd grade Math and Science teacher, chorus director, and GAL Liaison.
